Browse Worthy: Weakness

We are always to remember the poor (Galatians 2:10), but especially at times of harvesting and giving thanks (Deuteronomy 24:19-22).  Why not take a few moments today to reflect on these three stories and be humbled by how the Lord uses the weak to teach the strong?

Krista Horning - In this short video from _Desiring God ministry, _Krista shares first what her disability says to her then what God says to her in His Word.  As she quotes Scripture after Scripture with feeling, the power of God is made perfect in her weakness.

Scott Routley - Though not a distinctly Christian story, watching scientists communicate with this "vegetative" (we need another term) patient through the use of Magnetic Resonance Imagery (MRI) technology is incredible.  It serves as a another reminder of how we must protect the weakest among us.

Shannon Sproul - R.C. Sproul Jr. shares further reflections (see here for an earlier post) on what the life and recent death of his disabled daughter, following on the heels of his wife's death, has taught him.  At the bottom of the article is the short message he gave at her funeral.

May these stories serve to remind us of the great Gospel truth - Christ became poor and weak to bring to God a great harvest of those made rich and strong in Him.
