Libations of Prayer

O loving Father,

_  When our hope begins to fade_

_  And our strength fails,_

Again you send Your servants

_  To come alongside us,_

_  Visible, tangible messengers of Your care._

In prayer we cling to ancient promises

_  With brokenhearted faith that cries,_

_  Weeping yet once again over loss._

Their tears fall together with ours,

_  Forming on faces and floors_

_  The sweetest libations of Your Spirit._

As we arise from sacred moment,

_  To look through bleary eyes_

_  Upon pained yet radiant faces,_

We behold the glory of a Savior

_  Who, having shed tears and blood,_

_  Even now fellowships with us._
