After my last blog post (Fathering isn't easy but it is simple), I received a nice email from a reader asking for a similar article for mothers as well as some recommendations for online resources designed to encourage women, wives and mothers. While my wife and I are working on the article, I turned to my female friends on facebook and asked what resources they find encouraging. Here are some of the highlights. (Please note that I've not been able to investigate all these resources fully; I'm trusting you to read and listen with discernment.)
Several pointed to the general encouragement found at Desiring God and Mortification of Spin and Reformation21. The Gospel Coalition's 2018 Women's Conference has lots of videos to watch here. Mama's Refill is a subscription site with lots of Bible studies designed for, well, mamas. Proverbs 31 ministries seems to have a lot of resources as well. She Reads Truth is an online community dedicated to increasing personal reading and study of God's Word.
I'm sure this is a small sampling of what's available. If you have other resources you trust and find particularly encouraging, please shoot me an email!
