3GT Episode 169: Presbyterian Guardrails

While Kyle and Barry continue to wait for the return of their parishioner,  they decide to discuss the safeguards of Presbyterianism. What guardrails does the Presbyterian faith offer?

They first discuss what Presbyterian means, and how it differs from other forms of church governance. Though it can be abused as any system can be, the guys highlight how it Biblically should function. Topics such as care for souls, aiding in conflict, the plurality of elders, the parity of elders, honoring Christ as the head of the church, assisting other congregations in need, joint ministry ventures, having a common confession, and the rights of minority voices are raised. A Presbyterian church should provide the guardrails needed to help keep people on the straight and narrow...unless it's tossed them aside!

So tune into this "international podcast" (Inside joke - listen to learn!) and hear more about how Christ desires His church to be shepherded!
