3GT Episode 221: Reclaiming Wandering Sheep

As usual, the pastor and parishioner go at it to build some dramatic tension for the podcast. When things settle down a bit, they discuss the issue of people wandering from the church and how to shepherd them back home. The guys center their discussion on the spirit of the verses, “I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord GOD. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed...” (Ezekiel 34:15-16).

The gents talk about the heart pain that comes when people leave the church. They speak of the need to discern the reasons why someone might leave. Different efforts at reclaiming wandering sheep are given. The care needed in being patient, loving, and understanding is emphasized. The voluntary nature of the church is discussed. The hope that Jesus Christ gives in shepherding work is highlighted.

So whether you are a shepherd needing some encouragement, a church member concerned over a straying friend, or a wandering sheep yourself, you just might want to tune in to this episode of 3GT!
