3GT Episode 254: Trinitarian Shepherding

Still limping along in biunial fashion, the parishioner and professor decide to talk about the Trinity. Especially, they meditate on a verse describing the Triune God's work of caring for the church. "Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood" (Acts 20:28). From this text, the guys discuss how shepherding the church is a work of the Trinity.

They begin by showing how Paul described the work of overseeing the flock of God to the Ephesian elders in a Trinitarian manner. They talk about how the church is formed by the Father, Sin, and Holy Spirit. From there, they reflect on the necessity of feeding God's people. The guys go on to explain how the Holy Spirit works in the church today to set leaders over Christ's people. They then look at the means the Lord has given to seek the Spirit's help in caring for the church.

Though you will have to wait until there are tri-hosts once again on the podcast, still click play as it's never too soon to think upon the Trinity and the church!
