Jonathan Edwards: The Presbyterian (well, sort of...)

Most people don't know that Jonathan Edwards was a committed Presbyterian. Okay, I mean... well... sort of. In this video, I describe several ways that Edwards, Solomon Stoddard, William Williams and other members of the "Hampshire Association" of ministers functioned as a proto-presbytery, complete with theological debates, ordination processes, and a good dose of in-fighting amongst themselves. Towards the end, we will even hear directly from Edwards about his opinion on the Westminster Confession of Faith and the ecclesiology of the Church of Scotland in his time. Enjoy!
