Across the Lonely Ocean

Tonight we'll fly
Across the lonely ocean,
And tomorrow we'll land
Upon the Emerald Isle.

In times past
The trip was joy abounding.
But these days,
Our hearts ache within.

For in our memories,
One pair met another.
But this time,
One will meet us all alone.

Yet we travel
Across the lonely ocean,
Knowing the sure hope that
We'll be together again.

For across the lonely ocean
One brings us to the other side.
With love so immeasurable,
Deeper than the sea is wide.
