3GT Episode 331: Yes, SSA is SSA

Having had difficulty recording due to full schedules, and still down to two with Kyle away, at least Scott and Barry were available to man the mics. Given questions and feedback received from a recent article on Gentle Reformation called "SSA is SSA," the parishioner and priofessor decide to tackle further the polarizing topic of same-sex attraction.

In the article, Barry makes the point that same-sex attraction is sinful sexual attraction. So the guys engage this issue by making necessary theological distinctions. They look at natural desires, such as hunger, and sinful desires that are idolatrous. They define the difference between temptation and sin. They explain at what points heterosexual and homosexual attraction are similar in being unlawful. They then further distinguish between sinful and righteous heterosexual desires. They show the relationship between this discussion and matters involving such modern concept as self-definition and transsexuality. These discussions lead them to touch on further topics such as original sin, conversion through the gospel, sanctification, and more.

Tune into this episode of Three Guys Theologizing (okay, at least two of them are) to understand how, yes, SSA is SSA!
